We truly could not have chosen better than Dewi and Sam. From the very first moment Dewi stepped into our home — filled with family (and there were many of us!) — it felt as though he had known us for years. He immediately put us at ease. Whenever emotions became overwhelming, he would naturally pause, giving us the time and space we needed to gather ourselves, always checking that we were okay before continuing. He guided us through every step of the process with patience and clarity, keeping us fully informed and ensuring nothing ever felt confusing or rushed. While Chris was in his care, I felt completely reassured knowing he was being treated with the utmost dignity and respect. We recently lost my Dad unexpectedly, he was just 51 years old. Losing Dad so young has been the hardest time we have experienced as a family, but Dewi’s support from that first phone call has been unbelievable. The respect & care Dewi & Sam have given our family was more than we could’ve wished for and the respect he showed Dad was so comforting. Nothing was too much for them, and they took all the pressure away and made sure the funeral arrangements and everything that goes with it was as easy as possible. Our Mum was well looked after in their care and they treated the whole family with respect, compassion and patience while we prepared for her funeral. The preparations and funeral ran like clockwork, everything was taken care of by the team from flowers, photo tribute, service, celebration of life venue, charity collection, streaming service. We knew Mum would be in safe hands with Dewi and the team as they had looked after my Dads funeral 2 years ago. As a family, we were meant to write this review a couple of years ago, but time somehow slipped by. Today, after witnessing Dewi conduct a friend’s funeral, it brought back so many memories and reminded me that I never got round to sharing just how grateful we are. We cannot thank Dewi and Sam enough for the kindness, care and compassion they showed us when we lost our mother two Christmases ago. Dewi had cared for our nanna a few years earlier, so when the time came to say goodbye to mum, we knew without hesitation that he was the person we could trust. That familiarity brought us comfort at a time when everything felt overwhelming. Losing mum so close to Christmas made an already painful time even harder, yet Dewi and Sam worked tirelessly to make sure her funeral could take place before Christmas Day. In just eight days, everything was arranged with calm, professionalism and sensitivity. Throughout the entire process, nothing was ever too much trouble. No question, phone call or message felt insignificant, and they made sure we felt supported and reassured every step of the way. They also recommended a celebrant to lead the service, who was absolutely wonderful. Maria (Rimmer) was warm, down to earth, and took the time to truly get to know us in such a short space of time, which meant the service felt personal, meaningful and a true reflection of mum. At one of the hardest moments in our lives, Dewi and Sam treated us with genuine care and humanity, and for that we will always be thankful. I'm not quite sure if this is the place to leave a review for a funeral director but I feel compelled to given the level of service that I received. This year we have had the sad misfortune to lose 2 wonderful people from our lives, suddenly and unexpectedly, firstly in January and then again in April. From the very second that we met Dewi and his team we felt like we were being comforted, guided and looked after by people who knew what loss meant, who knew what emotions were flowing through at the moment and every moment after, I actually said at one point if we were to look at a dictionary of the definition of compassion there would be a picture of Dewi, as a family we can't thank the entire team enough for everything that they have done this year for us all, it's a very big decision choosing who you want to be looking after your nearest family members after they have passed away, I'm just so grateful that we were able to find Dewi, Sam and everyone else on their dedicated team to help us during the distress and the maze of legal responsibility during a grieving time. My mum sadly saw her final sunset on 3rd September and was wonderfully cared for by Dewi, Sam and team. Mum had some very specific requests including which clothes, and especially socks (“shh I’m watching the cricket”), she wanted to be buried in, all of which were faithfully honoured. The funeral was handled with dignity, tact and compassion with consideration given to the feelings and beliefs of different family members. On the worst day of my life when my partner died someone suggested Dewi jones funeral directors. I'm so glad they did as Dewi and Sam both made the most difficult thing iv ever had to do easier. They were friendly considerate and made my family and me feel safe and comfortable in our grief. If I ever find anyone in the same state as I was I would definitely recommend using Dewl .
